They also offer live jazz on some days. Although it’s not budget friendly, I think it’s a great value for the location, food and service, I’ve always had a good time. Last time I was there I ordered an appetizer and an orange juice and it was around U$50 with taxes and tip. Totally worth the view. More informations on the website and reservations HERE.

Overlooking the East River waterfront and the buildings of Manhattan, the restaurant is a great option for those who like Italian food and are looking for a casual but at the same time slightly sophisticated experience. They have another location but the one I recommend is in Dumbo, Brooklyn for the views. More information and reservations are available HERE.

The River Cafe – One Water Street, Brooklyn, NY – 11201

The River Cafe is a classic and renowned restaurant in the city, with a beautiful, sophisticated and romantic atmosphere located on the banks of the East River and literally under the Brooklyn Bridge. The restaurant requires a formal dress code and is the perfect option for those who want to have a charming, New York experience. More information and reservations are available here.

Opening hours:
5 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. (Wednesday to Sunday)

High Tide – 1b Water Street, Brooklyn, NY – 11201

This is the “cheaper alternative” to the River Café because it’s practically next to it and shares one of the most beautiful views of Downtown Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge! But High Tide is more of an outdoor bar than a restaurant and has a super casual vibe, which is the opposite of River Café. With a choice of seafood dishes and some appetizers, it’s a good choice for a late afternoon in Brooklyn. Despite the bar atmosphere, you can also make reservations, for up to 6 people.

Check out the menu and prices on the official website HERE.

If you want a higher view and more of a rooftop atmosphere, the One Hotel is right next to it and has a beautiful view from above. Read more HERE.

Also nearby is TimeOut Market, where on the fifth floor of the building you’ll find a very casual rooftop (kid-friendly!).
