With the arrival of 2016 I am putting in place a goal that stood in the back of my mind for years. Gradually I’m becoming more and more interested in learning about “the vegan world”, after being vegetarian for almost 2o years now. And one thing that I learned for sure is that being Vegan is not hard as I though, the options are endless and super healthy! I’m enjoying this new healthy lifestyle and I guarantee, New York is the place to be if you are looking for good vegan food! So let’s start today’s inspiration with three must-see places for you to fall in love with it too, being you a vegan or not!

by Chloe
Vegetarian for almost her whole life and vegan for ten years, Chloe Coscarelli became known worldwide after participating in the reality show “Cupcake Wars” and was the first vegan chef to win a cooking competition on national television. After the success she has published three books: Chloe’s Kitchen (2012); Chloe’s Vegan Desserts (2013) & Chloe’s Vegan Italian Kitchen (2014), all on the bestseller list. In 2014 the partnership with ESquared Hospitality happened and she is committed to bring to New York healthy plant based organic food, free of cruelty and of course, delicious! By Chloe is a huge success and a delight to be follow on all social media platforms too! The restaurant serves desserts, brunch, ice cream, juices and good food all day long! To get there the address is: 185 Bleecker Street, New York, NY. Click HERE to check the official website!
Candle 79
Frequented by locals, celebrities, politicians and curious, the history of the restaurant started back in 1984 and today is recognized worldwide as one of the best vegetarian and vegan restaurants out there. And there is no doubt about it, with the mission to bring flavor and quality, Candle 79 is the right restaurant for those who want a little more sophisticated vibe, a creative presentation and organic products, free of animal cruelty. It’s hard to choose what to order first! The options for gluten-free dishes are also quite varied and the prices although not very popular, are not above the normal you would pay in any upscale restaurant (click here to see the menu). On their official website you can check the hours of operation for lunch and dinner. The Candle 79 is located at 154 East 79th Street at Lexington Avenue, New York, NY.
Vegan Divas
This is not really a restaurant, but it is a bakery! And she deserved to be on this list for obvious reasons, as you can see in the photos below. Fernanda Capobianco is a Brazilian chef who opened the place in 2012 and has become a reference in the vegan market. And it’s easy to understand the reason for the success: serving everything sweet I love, from cupcakes to the most delicious cheesecakes, it is impossible to leave Vegan Divas empty-handed! And if you enjoy cooking, she shares her recipes in The Vegan Divas Cookbook, which I bought and loved! I have already spoken Vegan Divas this post HERE and HERE, then if you are around, be sure to check it! The address is: 1437 1st Avenue, New York, NY 10021. You can also order online through their website, they ship it!
