23 Budget friendly hotels in New York City
Booking the perfect hotel here in NY can be challenging. The price you pay for a 4 star hotel in Las Vegas might get you an outdated room with not so comfy pillows in the city that never sleeps. That’s why I asked many of you on Instagram to share your experiences and came up with this list of some of your favorite ones considering the cost-benefit of each (mostly location)! I still recommend you reading all reviews on Booking.com, of course and booking in advance to get the best rates, especially if you have plans to visit the city during the holidays!

Many people dream about staying in the heart of Times Square but to be honest, I wouldn’t limit my options especially if this is your second time in the city. There is so much to do and see and other neighborhoods to explore that will show you a different side of New York that you won’t wanna miss! Hostels are a great alternative to save money on accommodation and for those solo travelers who want to connect with other people. Usually hostels offer organized tours or activities and are located near public transportations. Here are some of my favorite ones:

AIRBNB:
AirBnB is available in NYC but have in mind that it is ilegal to rent an entire place for yourself for less than 30 days according to the city law. The tenant (your host) has to be present at some point and is required to live there. Does everyone follow this rule? Nop. But have that in mind because yes, some people I know ended up without a place to sleep and had to book an expensive hotel room last minute!
