8 GLUTEN-FREE RESTAURANTS IN NYC
I get a lot of messages on my Instagram asking about restaurants that serve gluten-free dishes in NYC. Well, the list is finally here! Please note that gluten-free options are very common here, as well as vegetarians or vegans. Even if it is not stated on the menu, don’t hesitate to ask your server about it; sophisticated restaurants will often come up with something off-menu to attend patrons with different dietary needs. In addition to the 9 restaurants below, I’ll also share a few more tips at the end of the post to help you make the most out of your NYC trip!

BY CHLOE
If you’ve been watching my Instagram stories, you’re probably familiar with By Chloe restaurants. If not, it’s a well-known fast-food chain in NYC that started out small and now owns several locations in the area. 100% vegan, the menu also includes gluten-free options ranging from salads and sandwiches to pasta and sweets. Definitely worth a visit! Click HERE to visit the official website and check out all of their addresses!
SENZA GLUTEN
As you can see, there are plenty of Italian options on this list! Senza Gluten is a 100% gluten-free restaurant located in West Village, my favorite part of the city, that offers a wide array of dishes! Rates are a bit higher than other similar restaurants, the average main course, for example, is US$ 30, but those who try it say it’s worth every penny! Desserts range from US$ 10 to US$ 13. Check out the official website and menu HERE!

LE BOTANISTE
I LOVE Le Botaniste! It’s one of those places where the food makes you feel good and the ingredients taste like they’re really healthy, you know? And that’s Le Botaniste’s goal: to turn food into a medicine! Everything’s delicious and the dining room is quite pleasant. I really like SoHo’s address, at 127 Grand Street, and stop by as often as I can! Gluten-free and plant-based desserts are also available, which is just perfect! Learn more HERE!

LITTLE CHOC APOTHECARY
This was the first 100% vegan and gluten-free restaurant/cafe in NYC! With a wide array of both sweet and savory crepes, even acai bowls are included in the menu! You can see more of such delights in the pictures below. I didn’t like the cookies that much, but the cake and crepes were very good! The restaurant also serves wine, tea, and even beer, despite its cafe-like vibes. It’s located at 141 Havemeyer St, Brooklyn, NY. Click HERE to visit the website.
PAPPARDELLA
If you’re a sucker for Italian food, Pappardella can’t be left out of your list. It is not completely gluten-free, but they do offer an entire menu dedicated to this demographic featuring salads, pizzas, pasta, meats, and a few desserts! It’s totally worth a visit! The full address: 316 Columbus Avenue @ 75th Street, New York, NY. Click HERE to visit the official website and check the menu.

TACOMBI
And I couldn’t leave out one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in NYC! Tacombi will also serve you corn tortillas coming straight out of the stove if you ask for it. It’s a great place for a happy hour with friends, with plenty of drinks and refreshing juice flavors to go around; not to mention how great it feels to have an authentic Mexican meal in the heart of NY at a casual dining room! The decoration makes it even better! Chefs work with organic ingredients, trying to make recipes as natural as possible. Here’s a tip: if you’re not a fan of pepper, make sure to let them know. I say that because even though I love Mexican food, I don’t like anything spicy! The pricing is quite okay, tacos cost US$ 3.95 each. Check out the full menu and all NYC locations HERE!
HU KITCHEN
HU Kitchen is a new gluten-free hit that can’t be left out of your list. Their goal is to provide real, organic food as natural as possible, in addition to reducing the ingestion of grains, which is one of the building blocks of the Paleo diet. I showed a bit more of it on THIS video! There are several HU Kitchen locations in NYC, and some of their products are also for sale at natural and organic markets. Learn more about it HERE!
MAREA
Specializing in seafood, this sophisticated Italian restaurant is located right next to Central Park and also offers a few gluten-free options for those who would like to taste their pasta. Still, their actual expertise is seafood, including oysters, caviar, raw fish, meat, and a great wine selection. Lunch, brunch, and dinner are served, along with the option to participate in a seafood tasting for US$ 95 per person. The restaurant already earned 2 Michelin stars! Check out the full menu HERE! Marea is located at 240 Central Park South, New York, NY 10019.
