Breathtaking views at The Skylark rooftop lounge in New York!
The Skylark has been for years one of my favorite rooftop bars in NYC. It is located right in midtown, steps from the heart of Times Square and despite the busy location, it has an elegant/exclusive yet casual atmosphere with of course, breathtaking views! I’ve been there before at different occasions but this was my first time dining at The Skylark. I was invited by them to fully experience the venue and try their food menu as well as incredible drinks and cocktails. I loved our evening and had to share on the blog as well but I saved all the videos and photos on my instagram highlights (@marthasachser)
Speaking of views, there are floor to ceiling windows so it doesn’t matter where you are, you will have a nice view of the city ( and the views include the Hudson River, Hudson Yards, Times Square, The Empire State Building and of course, Midtown Manhattan. Here are some of the photos I took – with my cellphone:
Their menu also includes vegan options, and their appetizers/bites portion sizes were good but I recommend ordering 2 if you are coming with someone else. We ended up ordering 4 items from it: their classic guacamole (U$15), crispy cauliflower (U$15), the herbed sea salted dusted fries (U$14) and the Tri Color Cauliflower Pizzetta (U$20). They were all delicious but either vegetarian or vegan, so I can’t recommend anything else from experience haha. My favorite was the General Tsao’s Crispy Cauliflower made with a sweet mirin-n-ginger chile sauce, I usually don’t eat spicy food AT ALL but I was able to “handle” this one and it was good, if you are okay with mild, you should be fine! For the complete food menu, click HERE! And for drinks, their signature cocktails were U$19 and wines ranged from to U$16 to U$20/glass. Click HERE to see the their wine and beer menu!
The Skylark has an open rooftop, so it makes it for a perfect night out in the warmer months and their indoor lounge with multiple spaces are open year round, which is great for the winter. If you wanna watch the sunset from their rooftop in the summer I recommend arriving around 7:30pm to explore the space, get some drinks and wait while the sky changes colors, it was beautiful! There was also a DJ playing on the rooftop but the music throughout the place was not super loud, which I love. It is perfect to have a conversation, a romantic date or a fun night out with the girls! The Skylark is located at 200 W 39th Street, New York. Click HERE for the official website!
