Palma
This is my favorite Italian restaurant and it is located in the West Village. What I like the most about it -besides the delicious food and great service- is their “winter garden”, the patio in the back, really charming and cozy. If you make a reservation, make sure to ask for a table there. It is located at 28 Cornelia Street. For reservations click HERE!
Blenheim
This is an elegant and charming farm-to-table restaurant in the heart of the West Village. It was actually voted one of the 10 sexiest restaurants in the city and was mentioned on a Michelin Guide. The service was impeccable and the food super rich and delicious. If you are vegan, there are a few options (mostly veggies) available but I highly recommend them! The restaurant is located at 283 W 12th St, New York, NY. Click HERE for the official website.

Il Buco
I love the atmosphere and the decoration at Il Buco, it’s kind of romantic (dimly lit)but also a great option for a nice and fun dinner with family and friends. The menu is a perfect mix of Italian, Spanish and mediterranean cuisines. They also have an impressive wine cellar in the basement. The restaurant is located at 47 Bond Street. Click HERE to visit their website. For more NYC tips make sure to follow me on instagram @marthasachser and @blognyandabout.
Olio e Píu
The decor itself is somewhat romantic and the dimly lit environment makes for a great date night! Oh yeah, and the food of course is really good! On top of that, the restaurant is located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city, so you can take a walk before or after a nice meal! it is located at the address 3 Greenwich Avenue, New York. Candle 79
The vegetarian/vegan restaurant is a must and a success among non-vegetarians as well. I recommend making a reservation. It’s not upscale but it does have a “fancier” vibe that we are not used in seeing in most vegan places in the city. Click HERE for their menu! Candle 79 is located at 154 East 79th Street at Lexington Avenue, New York, NY.
SALON DE NING NO THE PENINSULA HOTEL
This is actually a rooftop bar and it is located at the Peninsula Hotel, on 5th Avenue. It has a fancy and elegant atmosphere and awesome views of one of Manhattan’s busiest areas. There is a variety of cocktails, the food menu isn’t very extensive, but you will find mostly light bites and appetizers! The hotel is located at 700 5th Avenue. Click HERE for the official website.
THE VIEW
The View is located on the 48th floor of the Marriott Hotel in Times Square. The restaurant has nice views of midtown and the food ( if you choose the buffet style) is okay, nothing crazy. Click HERE for the official website.
BAR SIXTY FIVE
Ok, it is not suuuuper romantic but if you make a reservation for a table indoors, it makes for a perfect date (it gets crowded outside in the summer) and you can’t beat the view! There is a good variety of food on their menu but plates aren’t super large (it is more of an upscale restaurant/bar). If you like oysters, you will be happy! To make a reservation check their official website HERE! And this is the address: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, 65th Floor New York, NY 10112 USA!
