Ladybird, a beautiful plant based restaurant in New York City- Restaurant Review
I don’t even know where to begin! This week I had a dinner reservation at Ladybird, a vegetable bar in the Lower East Side, one of the coolest areas of NY – in my opinion. As a “vegetable bar”, Ladybird offers a variety of plant based dishes that will blow your mind, I wasn’t expecting much and can’t begin to express how delicious everything was! And of course, a meal isn’t complete without good drinks, so make sure to add that to your order, they have a great selection of wine based cocktails. Another thing that caught my attention is that they do use plants/vegetables and don’t rely on mock meat to bring the most unique and beautiful dishes. Make sure to make a reservation, the Ladybird is located at 111 E 7th St, New York, NY. And for the menu, prices and hours, check their website HERE!
We went there for drinks and for their famous vegetable (chardonnay and artichoke) fondue ($38), which is by far one of the best vegan dishes I’ve ever had! I saw they have a chocolate fondue as well and I’m counting the days to go back and try that as well. The menu is simple but they offer a great variety of small plates, and they all sound and look really good, good luck! The drinks were great and very unique- in Ryu’s opinion (since I don’t drink alcohol) – and I had a mocktail as usual! The restaurant’s decor is chic, a little gothic without trying too hard and at the same time bright and casual with a somehow romantic vibe (my opinion, of course!). Make sure to check the restroom, you will be impressed! I had a great time at Ladybird and reading some comments about the restaurant on a vegan Facebook group I saw people recommending it a lot as well and suggesting new things to try next time and I hope to this soon, loved the experience!

The staff was also very accommodating and helpful, which is important to me, this was my first time there, so it always feels nicer to have someone help you chose the right dish and drink.
