Customizing your own perfume: inside the Olfactory store in NYC!

Can you imagine having a perfume with a special scent that only you have? I do! The other day, walking around SoHo (ok, NoHo), I found Olfactory, a store with a super clean and bright decor that invited me in right away – part of it because it was super hot outside.  And what a nice surprise it was…

Olfactory makes high quality customized perfumes, all organic, vegan, sustainably sourced that cost a fraction of the price of luxury brands. So there you go,  that’s how I fell in love with this place!

How it works:

They offer 9 perfumes as a base, each with its own personality (sassy, soft, beautiful, refreshing, romantic….) all amazing, so you can buy a bottle right away OR you can add a special final ingredient: YOU! Yes, you can add notes that you love and make it your own. Even better, you can put your name on the bottle. That’s what I call a real customization and a great gift idea!

Price:

The perfumes are eau de perfume! I sprayed on my arms and was checking it all day and yes…it’s is really good! The price for a 50ml bottle is U$50, which is in my opinion, a great deal. If you wish to customize it, then it is U$75.

Other products:

They also offer travel size perfumes ($20), body lotions (U$25) and body wash (U$20)  and scented candles ($38)! All the sizes are really good for the price. Oh! The travel size perfumes you can’t customize. You can also purchase their sample box for U$24.
