Mexican dinner at Añejo!
Raise your hands if you’re like me and can’t say no to Mexican food! Especially being in NY, the city has so many options everywhere… whenever there is a chance for some guacamole and tortilla chips, I’m in! And last week wasn’t different, Ryu and I went to Añejo, that brings Mexican food to the next level! They offer all the original tastes you are used to and love but also create their own original take on them. Seriously, it was hard to chose what to order and the server also had a hard time suggesting only a few, all the items are popular and equally loved, so I recommend you bring some friends along so you can all order different things and share, it is also the perfect setting for a happy hour!

But we had to make a decision so I had all the vegan options available, of course. Which included two of their delicious tacos, quacamole and chips and a side of rice and beans. Ryu had the Deconstructed Cheeseburger Fundido and he loved it! The dish arrives in a sizzling skillet filled with queso chihuahua, ground beef, fried onions, pickled jalapeño, and shredded lettuce. Totally instagram friendly! House pickles,”Special Sauce”, and flour tortillas come on the side, so you can build your own Mexican burger in a tortilla. Yep!! It~s a tortilla with a cheeseburger filling flavor!
From tacos to the famous queso fundido, be prepared to be impressed by the flavors of Mexican culinary. And we can’t forget the bar, in their own words, “you’ll find what is quite possibly the most eclectic selections of tequilas, mezcals, and Mexican distillations this side of the Hudson!”. Cheers! Anejo has two locations in NYC, this one in TriBeCa is located at 301 Church St. @ Walker St. New York, NY. Click HERE to check their website and menu and here for their instagram!
