My new favorite snack: Beanfields Chips!

Chips are an American favorite. 75% of all the parties I attend, be it a kids or football party, I will always find a bowl of them, sitting next to the fresh vegetables. After I became vegan I must confess that I was afraid I wouldn’t find delicious options to replace my beloved chips. Even though some of them naturally shouldn’t have any animals products in them, some big companies will always find a way to add milk or some animal ingredient to the recipe. So when I came accrosss Beanfields snacks, I was a happy girl again! They are of course vegan but not only that, I call it a healthier version of the traditional chips: it’s gluten free, enriched with fiber, protein (hello beans!!) and has less fat than regular chips. And they are sooo yummie! My favorites so far are the ranch, black bean, white bean, barbecue and pico de gallo. I’m not a fan of jalapeno in general and this one stands up for its name, if you like spicy stuff, go for it!

So make sure you try them out next time you go to your local grocery store ( Whole Foods!!) or you can buy them online as well HERE! Another good fact behind this family owned company is their values when it comes to protecting the environment. “Beanfields uses as many recycled products as possible and we recycle in our office. All of our suppliers have similar programs. However, the biggest thing we do for the environment is using beans as our main ingredient! Beans (also called pulses) are by far the most water-efficient source of protein available.  And they are also far below the 110 gallons of water needed to grow a pound of corn!” – So when you are consuming their products, you know that not only your body will apreciate the load of protein and fiber but also the environment will thank you for that! Thank you Beanfields family for bringing us a delicious option, I can’t wait to try the other flavors! I wish you all the best!
