3 Brazilian Restaurants You Must Try in Manhattan

It’s not new to anyone that New York has food from all over the world and passionate about our food as we are, it is expected that you can find Brazilian restaurants  in abundance here. Only in Manhattan there must be at least 10! In Astoria, another 10 … Then a few more in Brooklyn! Today I selected three of my favorites in Manhattan, for all budgets and occasions. And for more New York tips, my instagram is @marthasachser my Snapchat is marthanewyork and my YouTube is this one HERE!

Brazil Brazil

I don’t know what I love the most about it: the food, the staff, the location (in the heart of Times Square), the winter garden in the back, the live music or them all together! The restaurant space is simply amazing, with different spaces for all occasions, it is excellent for corporate events, wedding receptions, birthday parties, etc…! I recommend taking your friends to enjoy live music with delicious caipirinhas and appetizers that only the Brazilian cuisine has to offer! The Brazil Brazil is located at: 330 West 46th Street, New York, NY on Little Brazil! And you can check their menu HERE!

Zebu Grill

If you happen to follow me on instagram (@marthasachser) you probably saw my delicious picture featuring my dinner table at Zebu Grill last week! If you were curious to see what else I had that night, dont worry, I took plenty fo pictures! Zebu Grill has a rustic and cozy atmosphere and of course, a Brazilian vibe, with great music and friendly service. The good news is that they are offering a prix fixe menu, with appetizer, main course and dessert for only $25, and is so worth it! And make sure you order pastel (a type of empanada) and fried yuca, some of my favorite Brazilian appetizers. Since I’m vegetarian it is always nice to go to a Brazilian restaurant that offers me options so I had a the delicious moranga recheada, but you won’t go wrong with the classic rice and beans -and fries. If you are a meat eater, you have plenty to chose from. From seafood to stake, to shrimp stew.Ryu had crab cake and bacalhau (codfish), which he really liked.  And leave some room for Brazil’s most loved desert: caramel flan. No, it’s nothing like the regular flans, you must try it! I also really enjoyed the passion fruitcrème brûlée with banana. Very light and delicious. Zebu Grill is located at: 305 E 92nd St, New York, NY 10128

Berimbau do Brasil

I have a special place in  my heart for Berimbau because it is not every day that a Brazilian restaurant has a vegetarian version of strofonoff on the menu! Yes, that’s right! Of course, I also included it in this list because everything there is delicious, from the location to the service, you can’t go wrong! On the menu you will find all the traditional dishes we love, including appetizers like pastel, coxinha, e pão de queijo ( the famous brazilian cheese bread), codfish balls and even acai in the bowl! The restaurant is cozy and has a variety of drinks and food on the menu with fair price. You will get the best of Brazil, beyond what you see in the famous steak houses (churrascarias). The HERE for official websiteand to check their menu! The restaurant is located at the address 43 Carmine Street- between Bedford & Bleecker Street, New York, New York 10014. Telephone: (212) 242-2606
