Our Lunch in One of the Best Greek Restaurants of NYC!
Known as one of the best Greek restaurants in New York, the first Kyclades Taverna is located in Astoria, the heart of the Greek community in New York. Specializing in fresh seafood, the menu is simple but has everything you expect to find in a traditional Greek restaurant: informality and good food! I went there on my birthday with Natalia, Marcelo and Ryu and everyone left there very happy! Even I, who always go there to eat the same thing: their potato! I love it!
Although it is a little bit out of the tourist route, Astoria is worth a visit, it is a region with a lot of restaurants, bars and a quieter vibe than Manhattan and by subway takes only 15 minutes! I always invite friends to go and get to know Taverna and they love it! But be ready to wait in line, with the reputation it has is likely that there is always a buzz of people waiting to sit at any time of year. I recommend going for lunch when usually less disputed. If to take the subway to get to know the Queens bands is not with you, do not worry, they opened a second location in the East Village, for everybody to enjoy! The Restaurant’s official site is this one HERE! It is located at 228 1st Avene, New York or Ditmars, which is the traditional, 33-07 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria, NY.
