With options ranging from American classics such as pancakes, waffles, eggs and bacon to more unique creations, restaurants bring together locals and visitors for a more relaxed meal. Red Rooster – 310 Lenox Avenue, Harlem, NY 10027

Another classic in the city is Red Rooster in Harlem. It’s a good option if you’re going to visit the churches in the area, for example, so it’s usually busier on Sundays. Red Rooster also offers a great variety of classic brunch dishes. The restaurant has a cozy local atmosphere and occasional live music on weekends. The vibrant and yet relaxed atmosphere at the SoHo location is my favorite. It’s a big restaurant but not super spacious and tends to be a bit noisy with so many lively people chatting on weekends! Tavern On The Green – 67th Street & Central Park West, New York, NY 10023

Located in Central Park, Tavern On The Green is another classic in the city and is a great choice for those who want to spend a day in the park and enjoy a good meal. The experience of being in the park and combining it with a walk before or after is very enjoyable. It can get very busy on weekends! This rooftop is a great option for those who want to enjoy a classic American brunch while enjoying the beautiful view of the city and the iconic Empire State Building. It has a casual atmosphere, more like a bar than a restaurant, but for those who enjoy a beautiful view while eating, it’s a must. The restaurant has a very diversified menu including some brunch dishes (like waffles!), as well as a very relaxed atmosphere. The one on the Upper West Side has a more classic and simple vibe with tables on the street and the one near Union Square is a bit more modern, but I love them both. Another charming French restaurant is Pastis, which, like Buvett, offers a great selection of French classics. The brunch is one of the most popular in the Meatpacking District, which is another great place to grab a bite before or after with other awesome restaurants all around. This rooftop located at the top of the McKaittrick Hotel is a great option for those looking for a casual buffet-style meal – great for those traveling with small children, for example – you can eat as much as you want for a fixed price and still have a beautiful view of the city. NOMO Kitchen – 9 Crosby St, New York, NY 10013

American Brass – 2-01 50th Avenue (Corner of 49th Avenue & Center Blvd), Long Island City, NY 11109

With a sophisticated atmosphere, the American Brass restaurant offers great food and a privileged location almost by the East River with some of the best views of the city depending on where you sit in the restaurant. More information and reservations are available here

Dinner: Monday to Thursday – reservations from 5pm to 8:30pm
Friday and Saturday – reservations from 17h to 21h15

Another option about one block away that offers a similar view but a more casual atmosphere is Osteria Brooklyn! Italian cuisine and seafood options. They usually have a lunch special (U$25 in 2024).
