5 cruelty-free and vegan beauty brands to try in 2020

One of the questions I get asked the most is “which vegan beauty brand do you recommend?”. So I decided to put together some of my favorite ones and some I recently discovered and am testing right now…and so far so good. Versed

Versed first caught my attention when I was at Target and among all those colorful (and overwhelming at times) brands, there was an entire shelf with Versed skincare products that looked so clean and simple that I was immediately intrigued. To my surprised the products were vegan! And after trying a few products I just had to add them to this list. Versed bans over 1,300 toxins from their products, making them not only safe to us but to our planet as well. Their packages are like I mentioned, simple and clean and they are committed to reducing waste. You can shop all their products and learn more about their mission HERE!

Natura

Natura is close to my heart because we are both Brazilians! Natura as founded in 1969 in Brazil, the country with the richest biodiversity on Earth.  And they opened their first beautiful NYC store in 2017. But if you are not based in NYC, you can shop all of their products online HERE.  They use natural ingredients and technology to create products with sustainability in mind and work directly with communities in the Amazon region so they can create business that continue to contribute to the wellbeing of society and the forest. I love their skincare products and  my favorite is the aqua auto-replenish gel hydrator, which I apply on my face everyday.

Aether  Beauty

Aether Beauty offers not only  vegan makeup but organic as well. Aether Beauty was founded in 2018 by Tiila Abbitt, an expert in the beauty and fashion industry. By reading their website I was shocked to learn that in the USA only 11 chemicals are banned in color cosmetics. Guess how many are banned in the European Union? Over 1300! So Tiila created products with that in mind, using cleaner alternatives, high quality products and sustainable packaging. They also donate a portion of sales to environmental charities, which is obviously very nice.

They carry eye shadow, blush and highlighter palettes and the packages are so pretty! Their products are available at Sephora but you can shop and learn more about the brand HERE!

Pacifica

This was one of my favorite finds of 2019! Pacifica is a natural beauty brand and 100% vegan and it is available at most drugstores, so super convenient and affordable. They have not only skincare but also hair, makeup and even perfumes and vitamins. I haven’t obviously tried all of their products but the ones I have, were great. My favorite one is the kale Detox facial wash, that I use to remove my makeup everyday, super easy, gentle and no wipes necessary. But in case you prefer makeup remover wipes, I highly recommend them as well, super gentle and removed everything with one single wipe. You can learn more and shop Pacifica products HERE!

Biossance

Biossance is a popular clean and vegan brand that promises results and it’s not only good for you skin but also for the planet. I love their packages and the quality of their products. I also love how simple they make the process, if you visit their website you will find ready to purchase kits with the complete routine for your specific needs, which makes everything so much easier.

So I guess that’s it for today! Let me know what your favorite brands are and if you would like a part 2 as well! To see more of my day to day life in NYC, check out my Instagram (@marthasachser) and follow my Youtube channel!
