Our experience at the Scribner’s Catskill Lodge – Hunter Mountain!
If you follow me on Instagram, this is not news to you. But if you don’t, well, I highly recommend doing it, it takes me a little longer to update you guys here and I’m always sharing the best of NYC on Instagram stories so make sure to stop by and say hi! So as some of you know, in January I took a much needed break and drove up to Hunter Mountain, to explore the area and relax at the Scribner’s Catskill Lodge, a beautiful hotel right outside the ski resort. If you are hoping to see snow in NYC and the weather is not helping, I highly recommend checking the forecast for the lodge area, while we were there we had snow every day. While in NYC… well, not even one flake lol and I know some of you were so excited to see snow for the first time in the city this year!
The room was large, quiet, beautifully decorated and very cozy, with all the amenities we needed. There was also a balcony, perfect for breakfast when the weather is nice or as I mentioned before, to see the snow falling. We had a great time!
The common area is the perfect place to relax, have a seat by the fireplace, play pool and read a good book, they have a large selection as well. You can also meet other guests – and chat about how beautiful the place is! They also provide a s’mores kit, there is a camp fire outside, so you can have some fun roasting marshmallows! If you are hungry, there is a restaurant (check the website for days and hours of operation) and bar. It is open to the public as well, so if you are in the area, make sure to stop by and get a drink by the fireplace or explore some of the restaurants in town.
