You guys know I love staying in hostels. Even when traveling with my mom, I always check  to see if there are hostels in the area. There are many benefits that only hostels have (I mentioned 7 of them HERE)! So if you are considering staying in a hostel next time you are in the city, here are my favorite ones! HI New York Hostelling International

Hostelling International is my favorite hostel chain in the USA (and possibly in the world). I know that it will always be a good experience. The hostels are usually super clean and with a nice and professional staff. This HI Hostel is located in the Upper West Side near Central Park.

Prices range from U$47-70 per person depending on the type of accommodation

Jazz on Columbus Circle

Location, location! This hostel is located near Columbus Circle, a busy area of the city. You can walk everywhere but there are several subway lines around.

American Dream Hostel

If you want a quieter atmosphere and more privacy, this is a good option! Located in Gramercy Park and Flatiron District the American Dream Hostel is close to transportation, Union Square and many restaurants. You can book private rooms. If you wanna save time, I recommend getting CityPASS to skip ticket lines and save money on the main attractions. There are also other  passes available that include way more attractions and tours such as FLEX Sightseeing PASSNYC Explorer PASS and the New York PASS, which are some of the favorites.

 

 

Williamsburg Moore Hostel

For those who wanna explore another side of New York I highly recommend staying in Brooklyn. The Williamsburg Moore Hostel is located in one of the coolest neighborhoods – with a younger vibe- and plenty to see and restaurants to try! The Local NYC

But there is also Queens! Yes, Long Island City is one of the new areas that is constantly changing, renovating, expanding… There are several subway lines that take you to midtown Manhattan in less than 10 minutes! The hostel has a quitter vibe but there is a bar and a rooftop to enjoy the view of Manhattan’s skyline and make friends! Rates range from U450 for mixed room and U$54 for male or female forms. Broadway Hostel
