Retro vibes at Big Daddy’s Diner in NY!

As you can see, I was VERY excited to go to Big Daddy’s! From putting together my outfit and styling my hair to thinking of the cool photos I could take at this iconic NYC diner. When you pass all that, here is what this post is about: my experience dining at Big Daddy’s!

Many of you ask me for tips on where to eat in New York, especially the ones who are traveling with kids. I’ve mentioned some of my favorite spots on this blog post HERE but here is a dedicated one to one of the coolest places to go!

Big Daddy’s has two locations in NYC, this one is located on 91st Street and Broadway, in the Upper West Side. I was there around 3pm after your typical lunch time for “photo reasons” haha. But the place gets busier later around 6pm, when you can find families having a good time!

The atmosphere is pretty laid-back, with good music playing in the background and pictures of some of my favorite 70s and 80s shows and artists in a colorful environment!

The food is your normal diner food, but they do offer a great variety of pancakes, waffles, milkshakes and burgers. As a vegan there weren’t many options (such as dairy-free milk/ice cream) but I’m used to it so I happily ordered french fries, fruit bowl and fruit juice. Can’t go wrong with a basket of fries! All the food you see was not for me but I couldn’t pass the opportunity of using them for the photos!

Big Daddy’s is such a fun place to catch up with friends, grab a bite, drink some milkshakes and take cool photos that it is now one of my favorite spots in the Upper West Side! If you’re ever in the area, make sure to stop by. Click HERE to check the menu with prices and their official website!
