Where to stay in Anchorage: Our experience at My Place

Where to stay in Anchorage: Our experience at My Place

Our flight landed at 11:30pm after a long day exploring and driving from Mt. Rainier National Park back to Seattle and then straight to the airport to catch our flight to (yay!) Alaska. It felt good to be back in Anchorage but all I could think of was…I need a comfy bed! For this reason and great reviews, we stayed at My Place. An affordable extended stay hotel chain located in 17 U.S. states (and counting!) that offers rooms with everything you need to make your experience more enjoyable and complete. And yeah, that means comfy and spacious rooms with a full kitchen and everything! Down in the lobby, a 24 hours convenience store is ready for any last minute cravings or any other items you might have forgotten to pack. And for U$4,99 you can have your breakfast in bed customized for you (you pick the items!).

The hotel was super clean and felt like brand new! They offered free wi-fi and parking, great staff (super friendly and helpful) and free coffee all day! There is also a laundry facility in the building, perfect for those like me who hate going home with a bunch of dirty clothes in the suitcase, right? I had a great time at My Place (as you could see on my instagram!) and I can’t wait to visit their other locations in the US, I know I’ve traveled all the 50 states but I’m planning to revisit some of my favorite ones soon and My Place is now “my place” of choice! Thank you for the awesome stay! The hotel is located at 729 E 40th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99503.
