Movie and candlelit wine and chocolate party

A perfect date night awaits for you at the French Institute/ Alliance Francaise! How about a special screening of the irreverent French comedy Apnée, followed by a candlelit wine and chocolate party with a complimentary ticket for your date!? The movie will be introduced at 7:30pm and 4pm by actor Edward Akrout and there will be a party and prize drawing after both screenings. The movie is in French with English Subtitles!

Apnée, 2016. Directed by Jean-Christophe Meurisse, 2016. With Céline Fuhrer, Thomas Scimeca, Maxence Tual. About the movie: Two grown men and a woman walk into city hall wearing bridal gowns and demand to be married. From there, the troublemaking trio roams from Paris to Corsica, wreaking havoc at job interviews and apartment visits, performing inept bank robberies and home invasions, and eventually getting their wish in a wedding bacchanal complete with wrestling displays and an opera-singing officiant. For more info, click HERE to check the French Alliance website!

Palma

Palma was one of the first restaurants I’ve been to in the West Village and it is until this day one of my favorite places in the city! The best part of it (besides the delicious food and service) is the winter garden in the back. If you’re lucky to get a table on Valentine’s Day, make sure to ask for one “outside”. It’s super cozy, picture a candlelit patio where you can see the sky and enjoy a romantic dinner with the best of Italian hospitality. Palma is located at: 28 Cornelia Street. Spirit Cruises

I’ve been to several cruises in New York but this is one of the best. Awesome views of New York skyline, great variety of food, music and the feeling that you’re escaping the craziness of the city without leaving it. I highly recommend going on a 3 hours cruise for any special ocasion, if you havent’b been to one this will make an epic Valentine’s Day! Book a cruise experience HERE!
