Eating clean and healthy in NYC: Lunch at Quintessence

Eating clean and healthy in NYC: Lunch at Quintessence

You know when you eat something that is so natural, fresh and makes you feel so good that you want to go around telling  everyone about it? That’s what happened the other day when I went for lunch at Quintessence, a raw restaurant in the East Village. Yes, they serve everything organic, gluten free, vegan and raw!  As you might know, I’m a vegetarian going vegan so I am currently in this healthy vibe, trying different vegan restaurants in New York City to share with you all.

As you can see from the photos, the food presentation alone is already a temptation! Everything looked so nice and clean…And sooo yummi! I tried their famous chia pudding with chocolate, which was very tasty and healthy, with strawberries and walnuts on top!  I also ordered the Crepe savory ($ 13): spinach crepe with chopped tomato and cream cheese wrapped with avocado and caramelized onions on top and salsa, which was a bit spicy for me but you can let them know or just remove it if you’re not a fan of spicy food like me.

Another thing I loved was the Pesto Pizzette: ($ 7). Oh how I wish I could put pesto on everything! And finally, the chaga cranberry juice: high nutritional value, natural anti-oxidants and other benefits to our health. I left the place so happy and feeling so good about myself, I love going to a restaurant where I don’t have a hard time ordering food, trying to see what is good for you and what is not, so Quintessence was the right choice! The place is relatively small, more on the quite side but very comfortable. To check out the full menu, click HERE! The Quintessence is located at the address 263 East 10th Street (bet. Ave A & 1st Ave), New York, NY. Subways L, N or R go near there! If you want more NYC tips make sure to follow me on instagram @marthasachser and @blognyandabout!

O Quintessence fica no endereço 263 East 10th Street (bet. Ave A & 1st Ave),New York, NY.
